Southeast Asia's Berde Renewables Inks Major Equipment Partnership with Sungrow and Solar Hive

July 7, 2026
Berde Renewables has entered into a multi-year procurement partnership with solar inverter manufacturer Sungrow Power and regional distributor Solar Hive, committing to supply chain agreements for 200 megawatts of inverter capacity and 500 megawatt-hours of energy storage technology to support renewable installations across the Philippines and Thailand.
This framework agreement is designed to facilitate large-scale deployment of renewable systems serving commercial and industrial clients in both markets.
According to Patrick Zhu, Chief Executive Officer of Berde Renewables, the arrangement strengthens the company's ability to execute clean energy projects efficiently. "This partnership gives Berde the scale, technology, and regional support to deliver clean energy solutions with greater speed and confidence across the Philippines and Thailand," Zhu stated.
Battery storage represents a critical demand across Southeast Asian markets, where industrial operations face increasing pressure to stabilize electricity supplies and manage consumption variability during high-demand hours.
Michael Ruan, representing Sungrow Power in Southeast Asia, emphasized the manufacturer's commitment to supporting regional expansion. Sungrow, positioned as a leading global supplier of solar conversion and storage systems, aims to strengthen Berde's ability to deploy dependable infrastructure throughout the region.
The arrangement designates Solar Hive as the regional distribution and support partner, managing supply chain logistics and technical services. The three organizations will also pursue financing partnerships and joint investment structures.
David Zhang, leading sales and business development at Solar Hive, highlighted the significance of the supply volume, noting the companies intend to scale operations to other Southeast Asian markets.
